The Best Asam Pedas In Shah Alam
Restoran Lenggong is one of my favorite place for lunch. It’s always pack during lunch time, so you either have to come a little bit early or a little bit late. This is how is look on a typical working day. Full!
There is no nasi campur here. You have to sit and place your orders. All the food here are served individually and served hot. Their specialty are asam pedas and char kueh teow.
My favorite is asam pedas ikan tenggiri. It’s not only served hot, but it is also really ‘hot’ in term of taste. Usually I will add on a glass of ais kosong to my teh ais. Other that asam pedas, they also have sup tulang, kari ayam and ayam goreng kampung. I have tried all, only the asam pedas and sup tulang are in my list of repeat orders. The rest tasted normal. You can get the same anywhere else, but the asam pedas and sup tulang here really stand out.
Their other specialty is kuey teow goreng aka kuey teow kerang.
To eat here is not cheap, but it is not that expensive either. If you are only eating the fried kueh teow, plus egg and ice tea as the picture above. It will cost you about RM6. If you ordered the asam pedas, or sup tulang etc, then it may cost you about RM9-RM12.
How to get here?
I don’t have the exact address, but the place is quite easy to find. If you are in Shah Alam, go to section 20 and find KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital (previously known as Selangor Medical Centres). There is a Petronas station in front of KPJ and Restoran Lenggong is situated behind Petronas, in between KFC and Pizza Hut.
